   Do you mean 'arrangements', as most thorns use their own repositories?

   I mean that these files should be in repositories, so that one can easily see what thorns are in the repositories.

   Do you mean you would like to only specify within a thornlist 'Thorn X from arrangement list Y (which would mean a URL to a thornlist)' and within that arrangement list you would get the remaining information (like how to actually get to the thorns)?

   I mean e.g. the definition of REPO_PATH. I'm not sure about arrangements -- I'm not sure whether a repository should specify what the contained thorns' arrangement names are. This makes sense for large repositories, but not for small repositories.
